Christian youth group venue
Situated just 20 kilometers from Magaliesburg and 12 kilometers of dirt roads, you will find Sikelele - 16 hectares of natural beauty that lies nestled between the mountains and an unspoilt river and boarders on a game lodge that sports a variety of animals. Sikelele means "place of many blessings" and in the tranquility of nature you will be blessed by His presence and enriched with His blessings. Here is a place of peace where you will feel God's presence.
Youth camp venue
The venue is ideal for any youth camp. We have in the past facilitated both Christian as well as school youth groups. With accommodation that can facilitate from 50 to 240 young people and an additional facility 10 kilometer away that can further accommodate another 60 children. Our facilities are ideal for an all round experience of study, relaxation, tutoring, leadership skills and adventure. Although we cater primarily for all meals, we do offer our kitchens complete with all kitchen equipment should any group require self-catering. Our accommodation caters for teachers and leaders with en-suite rooms as well as an organizer quarters. With the river and dam we are able to offer various activities and our sports field is the size of 2 rugby fields that lend itself to group activities. We also have a fully stocked tuck shop with a joining games room.
Owner run venue
Sikelele is owned and run by Tertius and Melanie Uys, a Christian couple dedicated to providing a safe spiritual haven for not just the youth, but for all groups looking for either spiritual or educational fulfillment. Tertius and Melanie are very “hands-on” and take personal pride in being involved overall in the daily running of the camp. They are there when you arrive and are there during your stay. They will also be there to see you on your way when the time has come for you to return home. The quality of their care and their commitment is borne out by the many testimonials from the many satisfied and contented people who have used Sikelele over the past 6 years. Their love of God guides them and the results are a place where you can feel secure in the knowledge that your experience will be rewarding and richly blessed.
